Apartment checklist

Plan the path from the unit to the truck.

The item is only one part of a Seattle apartment or condo pickup. Building access, elevator or stair routes, parking, loading time, property rules, and the person providing entry all need to fit the provider plan.

Six building questions

Settle the access plan early.

A provider cannot confirm a workable appointment from an item list alone when the building controls the path and timing.

01

Elevator

Is there a freight elevator? Must it be reserved? What are its dimensions, hours, and protection rules?

02

Loading

Where can the provider legally load, how long can the vehicle stay, and how far is that point from the unit?

03

Entry

Does the crew need a key, fob, code, concierge check-in, lockbox, or onsite escort?

04

Vendor rules

Does management require a COI, vendor registration, floor protection, a service entrance, or specific work hours?

05

Path

How many stairs, doors, turns, hallways, gates, and exterior steps sit between the item and truck?

06

Timing

Do the requested two-hour windows fit the building reservation and the person providing access?

Before submitting

Photograph the items and removal path. Select windows that fit the approved building access. The provider and final onsite price still require separate confirmation.

Photograph the whole route

Show what the crew must navigate.

Useful photos reduce guesswork around crew size, equipment, disassembly, carry distance, and whether the accepted item can leave through the planned path.

  • Separate items that are staying
  • Do not block sidewalks, alleys, or shared collection areas
  • Have the onsite decision-maker available
